"Communicating Outcomes" - How SPSO approaches the sharing of Ombudsman decisions

The latest newsletter from the British and Irish Ombudsman Association (BIOA) contains an article by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) on their approach to sharing Ombudsman decisions and the way their Workpro Complaints handling system is used for this. Workpro contract awarded by Scottish Information Commissioner

CAS has won a tender to supply our Workpro Case Management system to the Scottish Information Commissioner (SIC) based in St Andrews.

David Lowrie, Head of Operational Management at the SIC comments: "We chose Workpro following completion of a public procurement exercise which demonstrated that the system exceeded our functional requirements and provided the best long term value for money. Workpro will help our office deal with ever increasing case volumes and will provide our staff with the tools to help decrease case response times. In addition, the advanced management information tools will support performance management and reporting."

A meeting of our Workpro User Group was held on the 28th September 2011 in Edinburgh. These meetings are an invaluable opportunity for our Workpro customers to meet one another, hear about Workpro product plans and provide important input to future product development.

In our most recent customer survey 100% of customers rated our staff as good or highly professional in their work. 92% rated CAS as a good or excellent company overall, and 90% thought that CAS provided good or excellent value for money. More information...

CAS selected for Scottish Government Framework

CAS has been selected as a supplier on the Scottish Government Framework for Applications & Web Development Services. The Framework was awarded by the Central Government Centre of Procurement Expertise (CGCoPE) in October 2010 and CAS is one of a number of suppliers pre-approved to supply systems support services.

Scottish Borders Council awards IT Support Framework to CAS

CAS is delighted to have been awarded a Framework agreement by the Scottish Borders Council for IT software application services. There are three key areas of work which will be commissioned from this framework agreement: Advice and Guidance, Database Design and Development as well as Support and Maintenance.

Legal Ombudsman opens for business using Workpro

The Legal Ombudsman (LeO) is the new one stop shop for legal complaints. It opened for business on 6 October 2010 and represents a sea change in the way the legal profession works. It is the first time consumers can come to one independent body if they have a problem with the service provided by their lawyer - including solicitors, barristers, conveyancers, legal executives and others. It is a national scheme - for England and Wales - and from its start it has relied on Workpro Ombudsman as its case management system.

Rob Hezel, Director of Finance and Business Services comments "We are very proud of our launch. It was a challenging timetable to deliver an up and running system that brought to life our vision of a fully paperless and integrated IT package to support really good and effective resolution of complaints. We're now already closing cases.
