Software Engineering Student summer placement at CAS

CAS is pleased to once again support Equate Scotland’s Careerwise Placement Scheme, by offering a student placement for a software engineering student for the summer 2015. Equate Scotland aims to promote women in to STEM (science, technology, engineering or maths) careers.

Equate’s Careerwise scheme provides paid summer placement opportunities for women studying STEM subjects at Scottish universities and colleges. Last year CAS was joined by Shamara Thomson through the scheme and found it very worthwhile. Currently studying for a BSc Hons degree in Software Engineering at Stirling University, Shamara worked in the software engineering team and contributed to our growing automated test platform for Workpro. The platform was at this point at a very early stage of development, and Shamara had a significant influence in shaping it. For an article on Shamara’s internship click here.

As a smaller company we offer students a genuine opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of software product development on a web platform. The student will work with our experienced team of business analysts, developers and testers to help develop new product features and enhancements.
